Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world, with an elevation of over 8,000 meters. It is located in the northwestern part of the Western Himalayas, between the Indus and Astor rivers.
Sudden snowstorms, fogs and snowfalls are possible. For most of the year, the peak is practically inaccessible for climbing.
Due to the large number of fatalities among climbers attempting to conquer this peak, the mountain was nicknamed “Killer Mountain”.
