Old Tallinn & its Medieval past tour
From time to time I am guiding walking tours in Old Town of Tallinn and will be happy to show you its highlights and tell different curiosities of medieval daily life.
We’ll see a wealthy merchant’s house, the old pharmacy, the marketplace, the knights area, churches, Town Hall, artisans’ and merchants’ guilds and, of course, city wall & towers.
Learn who lived in the upper and lower towns, who didn’t pay fees to enter the city, how women cared for their beauty, the price of black pepper, why some young men were called Blackheads, and the meaning behind the medieval proverb “Town’s air makes anyone free”.
